What will happen to AdSense over time?

There are many ideas being made about what AdSense will look like over time and how the system will change in comparison.

First, there is the fact that targeting algorithms will become even better and more powerful than they are now.  This has been clearly seen with the Google search engine itself over the past few years and should come as no surprise as it happens with AdSense.  Advertisers will appear in more relevant results and advertisers who manipulate their content to allow high-paying keywords to appear may struggle to do so as long as it is not their content.  Not suitable for

Another thing that is going to happen is more protection for AdWords advertisers regarding click fraud.  Google recognizes that this is a very important issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible and will no doubt do so as soon as possible.  Now those who have high traffic level, can easily hide IP address and increase CTR (click through rate).

Google is always looking to improve its products and this has been seen in AdSense before.  The search engine company has introduced targeted AdSense CPM, "smart pricing" and domain blocking to the site and will likely improve upon what other similar sites have already added.

One such function is the option for the advertiser to have more control over where content is being displayed.  This may mean preventing your site from displaying on multiple addresses that host AdSense banners.

Another idea that has been floated is that Google will integrate Adsense into other forms of media such as newspapers or television.  Although this may seem more on the science fiction side of facts, there is no possibility that this could not happen. Access to an international array of over 150,000 advertisers can choose from to enter offline markets in various countries.  With Google's strong network of advertisers, they can choose offline distributors to create formats for content, search and now offline AdWords ads.

Additional options can be implemented for AdSense publishers, allowing them to define their own keywords.  Although Google is reluctant to do so, there is no indication that this will not happen in the future.

Also, many people are asking for a clear explanation of the AdSense pricing policy.  Google has given no indication as to why this is not public information, but at this point it appears that such information is very unlikely to exist on Google AdSense.

Another feature that can find itself in AdSense will allow website publishers to see which links are generating clicks to their website and based on which keywords they land on.

This can become a major problem that can threaten the entire system as it may encourage more AdSense only websites as profits become more transparent.  Many people can create AdSense-only sites, which are designed to generate revenue through AdSense only.

However, one thing that can happen is a way for users to solve their problems with low Adsense revenue on their site.  This can be done through an online wizard or something similar that will make suggestions to website owners based on their content.

But the biggest buzzword of the day is RSS.  The possibility of sending targeted advertisements directly to users without requiring any navigation on their part is becoming a reality with RSS.  And there are clear signs that Google will not let such an opportunity slip away. This is what "interactive television" and similar products have been trying to do for a long time.  But the internet would be a much better medium for that, because there is no medium as interactive as the internet.

But in the end, this is mostly speculation and we are bound that Google will surprise us with new features that we never thought of.
