Caution in smoking

 Cigar smoking can be a great source of pleasure in your life, but the humble smoker knows that not everyone likes it.  With the anti-smoking campaign still in full swing, it cannot be overemphasized how important it is to enjoy your hard work without offending others.  Just remember that when you smoke a cigar, it can be difficult to predict the smell that others are experiencing.  And don't forget that cigar smoke can leave a strong residue on clothes, furniture, and even walls

  If you live with non-smokers, try to find a well-ventilated area of ​​your home where you can smoke comfortably.  While it may be tempting to lock yourself in your office or bedroom, it's probably not a good idea to smoke in an enclosed space unless it has a window.  Never smoke in an enclosed space!  You are more likely to inhale toxic air from your own cigars.  If possible, go outside for a smoke.  Pull up a lawn chair;  Relax on the porch or any other open space where you can smoke comfortably.  Reach out to non-smokers as much as possible, especially children and the elderly.  Remember that cigar smoke contains many carcinogens that non-smokers can easily inhale.

  If you must smoke outside your home, remember that a polite and respectful smoker will only smoke where permitted by law.  Do not light up in a bar, hotel or restaurant where smoking is clearly prohibited.  If you are with someone who does not smoke, ask their permission.  If they agree, respect it.  Make sure the smoke is not coming in their direction.  Sit near an open window or space.  Make sure the air conditioning or draft is moving the smoke in your direction!  Also, make sure no one is eating around you.  Second-hand smoke from second-hand smoke is a surefire way to ruin a meal.

  Even a humble cigar smoker will be aware of their ash.  If you must smoke outside your home, make sure you dispose of the ashes in a safe and appropriate container.  Remember that ash can blow easily, especially with lower quality cigars.  Do not scatter ashes and be careful not to blow them near anyone around you.
